Garment Care

Congratulations on your purchase of Sheshe garments. To keep your garments looking as good as new, some special care is needed.
Sheshe garments are made from all natural fibres, a 45% silk and 55% cotton mix. This makes them incredibly soft and comfortable to wear, yet also sheer and sensuous but does mean some care must be taken in their handling. All our garments are pre-washed to minimise shrinkage, however, as with all cotton and silk products, they will shrink further if exposed to excessive heat and we therefore recommend you follow these care instructions.

General Handling

Due to the delicate nature of the garments and the natural properties of silk, the fabric will snag if caught on jewellery or watches and therefore care must be taken when washing and with general handling. Sheshe can not be held responsible for garments that have been snagged.

Hand Washing

• We recommend hand washing your garments if possible:
• Gentle hand wash separately in cool water.
• Use a non-biological detergent.
• Do not bleach.
• Do not rub, wring or twist.

• If hand washing is not possible, please follow these steps to ensure the long life of your garments:
• Use a gentle or "delicate" wash cycle.
• Wash in cool water in a lingerie bag.
• Machine wash light colours separately.
• Use a non-biological detergent.
• Do not use bleach.
• Do not use a spin cycle.
